Pre - Product Launch
Just before launching my website, I had the opportunity to have my first pop up store. The best part was, I was able to have it at my favorite home decor store – West Elm! This is definitely a great opportunity for start-ups to have their booth set up in the store. It’s a bonus because this is totally free as well.
Am not sure about you but I could spend hours walking and looking at stuff as I think West Elm has a lot of amazing products. It took so much mental strength to focus on my booth during both days instead of shopping. I have to admit it wasn’t easy :D
The best part of having a pop-up store, is that you get to set up the booth, meet people, talk about your product and some even liked the little demo set up. That actually attracted most of them to try the scrub before deciding to make a purchase. For me, this was a very informal way of surveying which one of the scrubs will be in demand. It’s of course nice to be able to help people cultivate healthy skin routine habits. This is what I enjoy most. It’s not at all difficult to create awareness of something you believe in.
Personally, it wasn’t so much of the sales that I was focused on as I was fully aware this is a new brand and building trust and creating awareness was my starting platform. With the pop-up store just few weeks before the launch, I was thrilled to have had this experience.
Once I have more time to spare, I’m looking forward to setting up more booths in various locations. Sometimes with a full time job and a side hustle, finding spare time is a struggle. I’m currently focusing on digital marketing which is more achievable given the flexibility to edit and post.
